I have an absolute beauty for you today! Jo & Ollie’s Elmore Court Wedding on the west slopes of the Cotswolds near the river Severn & the town of Gloucester. Gloucestershire is always an incredible place for a wedding, it’s such a picturesque part of the English countryside, so a perfect setting to get married!
Ollie & Jo decided on a relaxed country wedding that they could bring all their loved ones and celebrate their marriage. Elmore Court has such a beautiful balance between old and new, the land dates back to the 13th Century and is given to the owners family by the court of Henry 3rd! And the main building oozes character, you can sense the history, all the people who have lived there and the countless people who have celebrated marriages over the centuries.
Jo was wearing a beautiful dress by Mira Zwillenger, which looked stunning with the soft light of the sun backlighting the long veil! Such a great combo with Ollie’s Tailor Made suit from London. Honouring Filipino tradition, both of Jo’s parents walked her down the aisle, I love this! It should definitely happen more often in my eyes as it’s a beautiful recognition to both mother & fathers, A lovely moment, especially with the beautiful sounds of Tori Handsley, playing the harp as they all walked down.
I am in awe with the ceremony space at Elmore court, the large bay windows flooding the side of the room with light as the couple exchanged their vows, you could sense the love between the pair as they faced each other! Such a timeless setting share that connection with everyone.
After a quick confetti throw and relaxed drinks reception on the lawn of the venue, the couple and their guests headed to the newly built Gillyflower building for the wedding breakfast, a beautiful structure to enjoy the 3-course meal and party! I absolutely love the decor and table decorations the couple decided to use, such an elegant way to decorate the space with Amber Persia’s flowers on each table, it really shone! A fantastic array of Peonies, Dahlias & Roses all delicately picked to Jo’s blush & whites colour theme for the wedding.
After the speeches, I grabbed the couple quickly as I spotted the sun had emerged from the clouds, and we decided to try our luck with some evening portraits, my god we got lucky! The beautiful evening sun worked perfectly to get some lovely shots of the two. The night ended with the band called the ‘Festival Nights’ helping the couple and their guests party hard into the night!
I hope you enjoy Ollie & Jo’s Elmore Court wedding as much as I did! Let me know what you think at the bottom of the post and if you like this one you definitely take a look at Luisa & Jack’s English tipi wedding or Clem & Tim’s barn wedding in Hampshire.
“We were lucky enough to find Richard Skins and Ollie and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the photos. We had a few calls with him prior to the big day where he talked us through his recommendations and to hear our opinions on what we’d like. The images he took were AMAZING and really captured great moments throughout the day in a very candid way, exactly what we wanted. Looking back at the photos, it’s as if we were re-living our big day all over again and we have him to thank for that.”
