Wedding Photography Pricing

I’ve tried to keep the price for wedding photography as simple as possible, so you don’t have to worry about anything else. You pay one price, and you’ll get me for as long as you need. For any weddings longer than a day, please get in touch to talk it through.

All that’s required to book me is a pay a deposit and for you both to read and fill out my online wedding agreement. It’s really that simple.

I try and meet all couples at least once before the wedding, but if this is not possible, then I’m always available by phone, email or Skype.

How do we book you?

Firstly get in touch and check my availability for your date.  If I’m available, then all you will need to do is pay a 20% non-refundable deposit from the price of wedding photography and fill out an online wedding agreement. This will guarantee that no else gets me for your date. The remainder can be paid off at any point up to one month until the wedding day.

How many images do we get?

You’ll get around 500-600 individually edited colour photographs. I also convert a load of images in black and white so you will have a good mixture.

How long will it take to receive our photographs?

You’ll receive a preview gallery within roughly a week of the wedding.  The average editing time is around 8 weeks for the full set, this depends on the time of year through, peak wedding season is between April-September. There’s only one of me, but I know how keen you’ll be to see your pictures, so I’ll get them done and ready for you as quickly as possible, without compromising on the quality.

Can we buy prints?

Yes, you’ll receive an online gallery where you or your family and friends can not only view the wedding photographs but also buy prints, frames, design magazines and lots more.

How long do you stay on a wedding day?

On average I usually stay around 12 hours, but it all depends on the wedding,  but rest assured I’ll be there for as long as I need on the day – or in other words, from when you’re getting ready to when you’re telling everyone you love them on the dance floor!

Do you require food on the wedding day?

It would be amazing to eat at the same point as the rest of the wedding guests, photographs of people eating are never the most flattering, so I try to eat quickly at the same time.

Can we meet you before the wedding?

Yes, I love to meet people before their wedding to go through all the details of the day.  If this is not possible due to distances, then I will always be available by phone, email or Skype at any time.

What is the average price for a wedding photographer?

In the UK the average price for a wedding photographer is currently £1590 (YPWP Source), but you can pay from as little as £200 right up to £10,000. Wedding photography, like all things in life, has different prices for good reason. If photography is important for your wedding, then increasing your budget is more than likely going to result in better quality and experience.

"We feel so incredibly lucky that Richard was our photographer. He is beyond talented."

Luisa & Jack

“We feel so incredibly lucky that Richard was our photographer. He is beyond talented. Just how special the photos really are once the day is over is quite amazing, they take you back to that day every time you look at them. They also help take away a bit of that post-wedding blues where you have something to look forward to. To have someone who has captured so well the vibe and happiness of the day in such a natural way is priceless. He is so professional and friendly and knows exactly how to achieve what you ask of him. Neither of us are used to having someone follow us around with a camera, but Richard does it in such a way that you don’t realise that’s what’s happening. He has this great way of just blending in as if he’s part of your friends and family, and that’s where he finds the magic. We couldn’t be more grateful for the photos he took.”
