DESTINATION / FRANCE

Some of my favourite weddings have been in France,  c'est magnifique!

So I take it you're looking for a France wedding photographer? I am happy you found me as I've absolutely loved photographing weddings across France for the past few years! It's an incredible place in the world to not only travel but for weddings as well. My first one was at the stunning Chateau de la Bourlie in Dordogne several years ago and since then I've always had a smile on my face when I receive an enquiry about a wedding in France.

The food, oh the food, you can never really go wrong with the delicious French cuisine in my eyes and you know that your guests will love it too. France is a large country with locations to choose from, I've included some of my favourites below; whether you're thinking of a Chateau in the Loire Valley, a French riviera celebration or a chic Parisian wedding or even a Mediterranean Corsica ceremony I would love to talk to hear what you're planning.

Dordogne

Oh, the utterly exquisite Dordogne! I've done lots of weddings here over the past several years and I always absolutely love the adventure, with its meandering rivers, pastoral towns & serene villages which are a perfect getaway for your friends and family to enjoy in between the days of eating & drinking on the pool's edge at your chateau! When it comes to the day itself Dordogne has some of the best chateaus in France for laid-back weddings! even writing about it makes me want to go back.

Paris

Paris, the City of Light, is a place of romance and wonder, so a perfect place for a wedding or couple shoots, from the Eiffel Tower which stands tall and proud, to all the charismatic streets all lined with quaint cafés and bistros, where you watch the world go by. The Seine River winds its way through the city, offering boat rides that provide a unique perspective of the city. And of course, no trip to Paris would be complete without a stroll down the Champs-Élysées, where one can shop and take in the sights and sounds of this vibrant city. Paris is truly a magical place and one that I would love to document more weddings at.

Loire Valley

The Loire Valley is a place of natural splendour, where rolling hills and lush vineyards stretch as far as the eye can see. One of the must-see attractions in the Loire Valley are the grand châteaux that dot the region, like Château de Chambord, Château de Chenonceau, Château de Cheverny, among others. The Loire Valley is a place where time seems to have stood still, a true gem for weddings in the heart of France. The natural beauty and cultural significance of the region make it a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience the best of what France has to offer.

Provence

Travelling further east you'll find the picturesque region of Provence stretching from the shores of the Mediterranean all the way to the alps, it really has a venue for every type of wedding; known for it's stunning lavender fields, incredible food and the french riviera scattered across the coast with a ridiculous choice of beautiful cities; Nice, Monaco, Cannes, Saint-Tropez to Antibes there really is a wide range of locations to host your wedding or simply enjoy your honeymoon on! With those backdrops, you can already see an image of you both.

"Richard Skins was an absolute delight to work with. From the first communication with him, we knew we were in very safe hands. When he works, you barely notice he is there, yet he goes above and beyond to make sure you get perfect shots from the day."

FAQ / France WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

How long will you stay before and after our wedding in France?

For destination weddings, I like to arrive at least a day before the wedding, so I can get to know the area and the venue and find the best locations for photographs. In some cases, I would arrive 2 days before I can make it to the wedding in good time. I would normally fly out the day after the wedding.

02.

Will there be any extra costs for destination wedding photography?

Yes, the amount depends on which package you select. For the top package with two photographers for weddings in Europe, I add a flat fee of £800 for flights, accommodation, rental car and any other travel expense. For the favourite package weddings in Europe, I add a flat fee of £600 for expenses. For international weddings outside Europe, please get in touch.

03.

How do we go about booking you for our France destination wedding?

Wherever the location for your wedding firstly get in touch and check my availability for your date. If I'm available, then all you will need to do is pay a 20% non-refundable retainer (This will guarantee that no else books me for your wedding date) from the price of the package you select and sign an online contract to secure my services. The expenses will need to be paid eight months before the weddings, so I can purchase my flight and finally the remaining balance one month before your wedding date.

Why choose me over a local photographer?

So you could definitely choose a local photographer over a travelling destination wedding photographer but sometimes each country has a unique style and method to wedding photographer. Do your research on photographers in the country of your wedding, if you don't feel the style is right for your day then a destination photographer is the way to go.
