Destination Wedding Photography

I love travelling, to breath new smells, to eat different food and to have new experiences is something that is very exciting to me.

I absolutely love my job and it felt very natural to try and combine this with seeing more of the world. I’ve been photographing weddings across Europe for the past few years and so far they have taken me to the Dordogne in France, the incredible Tuscany region of Italy, the simply breathtaking Lake Bled in Slovenia, the rugged beauty of the south coast of Ireland and the sun-drenched valleys of northern Portugal to name but a few; I’m now addicted!

Destination Weddings Across Europe

It can be more challenging if I’m very truthful, but I embrace a challenge and it makes my job more interesting and exciting. Even though your wedding might be in a different country I won’t change the way I always document a wedding, my main focus is on people and all the joy that can accumulate on a wedding day so expect lots of images of your loved ones laughing, crying and dancing their little socks off on the dance floor!

AMOUR / KÄRLEK / LOVE / AMORE / LIEBE

Whatever your nationality, gender, race, age or religion, if you want to celebrate your love with all the people close to you in the world, then I would love to document it.

I’ll do that in an honest way which reflects you both and I will work hard to be in the right place at the right time to get the images that will be important to you. I’ll look out for the more smaller moments as well as the big ones, the ones that to anyone else might not be important but to you, they will be everything, the hand of support from your sister as you are getting ready to the hug you get from your best friend after you have got married.

So whether that’s in a Chateau in the South West of France, an Italian vineyard villa, an epic Switzerland wedding in the alps to even an Ibiza beach wedding extravaganza! I want to be there to experience it and to help you remember that experience long after the day is over.

Below you’ll find a little more information about my pricing for destination weddings but please get in touch if you have any more questions.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

01

How long will you stay before and after the wedding?

For destination weddings, I like to arrive at least a day before the wedding so I can get to know the area and the venue. In some cases, I would arrive 2 days before I can make it to the venue in good time. I would normally fly out the day after the wedding.

02

Will there be any extra costs for destination wedding photography?

Yes, for weddings in Europe I add a flat fee of £500 for flights, accommodation, rental car and any other travel expense. For international weddings outside Europe please get in touch.

03

How do we go about booking you?

Firstly get in touch and check my availability for your date. If I’m available then all you will need to do is pay a 20% non-refundable deposit and fill out an online wedding contract. This will guarantee that no else books me for your wedding date. The remainder will need to be paid one month before the wedding day.

"Richard honestly felt like family by the end of the weekend"

Kat & Pierre

“Richard honestly felt like family by the end of the weekend. I tend to look quite stiff in posed photos, so I knew I wanted lots of natural shots and we couldn’t have been happier with Rich’s photos. It was 36 degrees on the day and he was a superstar in the heat and didn’t stop! I had always dreamed of an outdoor wedding and the chateau was the perfect setting with beautiful grounds. Although I wasn’t really aware of a theme whilst planning the wedding, looking back at the photos it was very fairytale-like.”
